Job Garden panel in George’s Newsletter
Like we always say, a portfolio job board is nice to have — but it’s no good if great candidates don’t see it.
That why we publicise jobs with automated weekly tweets, and why job seekers can subscribe to new opportunities using email and RSS. But how else can we get the word out…
Email newsletters are already used by tons of organisations (investors included) to share news with their communities.
So we built something just for newsletters.
Some back-story. George Walkley publishes a weekly newsletter on innovation, ventures, and media. It’s one of my view few must-reads. At the bottom of each edition is a link to George’s job board. Great idea.
We’ve worked with George to create a simple Mailchimp integration that brings live job data to his newsletter. (Mailchimp is one of the most popular newsletter platforms.)
☝️ You can see the result in the image at the top. His newsletter has a panel with live data, pulled from his own job board at the time of sending, and shared with his readers. Because the data is live, the panel is more enticing.
And you can use it too! 👉 Share these instructions with your friendly social media expert.
Newsletters are a great way to spread the word about portfolio jobs. And, of course, gardeners can monitor effectiveness using the new, integrated web traffic reports.
(We’re keen to hear from people who use platforms other than Mailchimp, or who would like to push the boundaries with what data is included in the newsletter. So if you want to try something new, get in touch.)
A little housekeeping!

Please welcome Alex Dunsdon, partner at SAATCHiNVEST, to Job Garden. Their portfolio includes startups like Citymapper and Mrs Wordsmith — and you can find opportunities at those companies and many more on Alex’s job board.
And we’ve not done Job Garden stats for a while, so here’s the latest:
- 353 companies tracked (223 of which have open roles)
- 3,180 live jobs (16,065 all-time)
OK, that’s all for today. Until next time,
–Matt
