This is Station Jim.
Station Jim is a taxidermied dog in a glass box.
A hundred or so year ago - around the time Edison was shipping the light bulb - Station Jim used to hang out at Slough station and raise money for charity. He would bark on command and stand on his little step-stool, and he would ride up and down the line in trains. He used to wear his little satchel, and he used to, uh, smoke his pipe. And he was much beloved by passengers and station staff alike.
So much beloved, in fact, that when he died in 1896, they stuffed him and put him in a box.
It's very British.
Naturally, I think this is weird.
