This is the Stockmarket Skirt by Nancy Patterson (that’s where the image is from too). It’s a cocktail dress, and it changes length. It shows more leg when the market’s doing well.

I’ve seen representations of the stockmarket on screens and as fountains. But nothing is more appropriate than this: sex and money. It’s visceral. It’s not subtle, but the boys with their loud shirts buying and selling white wine and stocks and shares in the City aren’t subtle. I like it.
