Anglo-Saxon England online resources, part of ORB. Seems pretty comprehensive, but still didn't point me to a dictionary that could tell me if 'cunny' is an anglo-saxon word or not.
I remember reading somewhere (not www) that English isn't just a pick & mix of different languages, but that certain categories of words tend to come from different sources. It
may have been The Language Instinct but I don't have my own copy so I can't be sure.
